Responsible Down Standard (RDS)

Manufacturers may obtain certification under the Responsible Down Standard to demonstrate that down and feathers used in textiles and other applications are sourced in a way that avoids unnecessary harm to birds and ensures animal welfare is respected throughout the supply chain.

Within the CCS-based certification system, traceability is ensured through strict chain of custody requirements. This includes verification of proper documentation, mass balance or volume reconciliation, and the segregation of certified materials during storage and handling.
