Organic Content Standard (OCS)

Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an international, voluntary certification standard designed to verify the presence and movement of organically grown materials through the supply chain. It ensures that raw materials sourced from farms certified under recognized national organic standards are accurately tracked from their origin to the final product.

Certification is carried out by independent third-party bodies through regular annual audits. The system follows the requirements of the Textile Exchange Content Claim Standard (CCS), which enables reliable traceability of organic content at every stage. The OCS framework covers the complete supply chain for organic materials, including initial processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, storage, handling, and B2B shipping after final production.

The standard applies to products containing between 5% and 100% organic content, excluding food items. Its overall objective is to support and encourage the growth of organic agriculture while ensuring transparency and integrity in product claims.
