Global Organic Textile Standard (SCOPE 4)

Growing environmental and health concerns, along with the ongoing decline in ecological balance, have significantly raised public awareness of certified organic products, leading to a steady increase in demand for them. In addition, chemical substances used in the wet processing of GOTS-certified goods, as well as accessories used for both functional and decorative purposes, are collectively known as GOTS additives. These two categories are subject to different technical requirements depending on how they are produced and applied.

At the same time, the rapid growth in global population has resulted in higher production and consumption levels, causing natural resources to be depleted at an accelerated rate. This situation has also boosted awareness and interest in recycled products. As a result, certification for textile products made from organic and recycled materials has become increasingly important. Textiles certified under the relevant standards help ensure environmentally responsible and sustainable production practices.
